Author's Note: This piece is about the conflict and resolution in the story My Life in Black and White I wrote this to demonstrate my understanding of conflict and resolution.
In the book My Life in Black and White, the main conflict is that the main character has to recover from not only a social, but a physical trauma, too. After that, her life changes forever. The situation wouldn't have been as dramatic if she didn't isolate herself from the whole world. I admit, if my face went through a windshield, I would be embarrassed of what I looked like afterward for maybe a week, not 6 months.
Eventually, this embarrassment fades away, once the main character joins a support group of recuperating teens involving their self-consciousness. She regains her friendship with her best friend, yet never forgives her ex-boyfriend. Honestly, everybody makes mistakes, and I may have forgiven him considering the circumstances that he was in.
